26 Sep – Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" will be out soon with Natalie Portman, and the actress has revealed that it won't be long before we see a female superhero movie by Marvel. "I have heard it is coming," she says, "and of course, a central non-white character will also be exciting... and title characters!" "There are definitely many strong women," said Portman regarding the current Marvel universe, "but it will be exciting when there is a central female character."
The actress also praises Marvel on the current roles made available to female actors, "They do definitely have strong female characters in them, and I think it's a testament to the people who run Marvel, their respect, their just normal human respect for women, the way they want to characterize them; you can tell when men talk to you, as just a person or as a woman." Natalie Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster in "Thor: The Dark World" with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and the film is due to be out on 31 October this year.
