Hans Isaac to take his next project out of Malaysia.

20 Sep – Hans Isaac intends to bypass Malaysia's Film Censorship Board (LFP) by screening his potentially controversial film in a foreign film festival.

Hans, the Managing Director of Tall Order Productions Sdn Bhd, firmly states that his film titled "Carmina" is not produced as a mark of protest but instead, is a personal film that tells the story of his late mother.

The film will be made in Singapore using another production company there. However, in terms of cost, all of it will be funded by Tall Order Productions. Hans plans to start shooting the film in February next year and to have it screened at the Cannes International Film Festival.

The film "Carmina" will not be screened in Malaysia as he does not want the LFP to sensor his film before screening.

"I want my work fully screened in the cinema without censorship," he said to Berita Harian. "What can I say? This film has features that may be classified as suspicious by the LPF."

In regards to the cast, Isaac says; "I am still looking for a lead actress. I will most likely not be acting in this film. For my characters, I needed actors who know me and my mom closely."

Hans Isaac's mother, Carmina Anciano Isaac, 74, passed away in August last year at her home located in Taman Tun Abdul Razak, Ampang. Her death was caused by fourth stage breast cancer.
