Jackie Chan in Malaysia soon!

Malaysian fans will get the chance to meet Jackie Chan!

12 Nov – Guess who'll be stepping on our shores very soon? Hollywood and Hong Kong movie star who has appeared in films like "Rush Hour", "The Legend of Drunken Master" and "Shaolin" will visit Malaysia on 18 December to personally share his excitement in the latest "Police Story" installment.

It has been nearly 30 years after the first instalment in the "Police Story" series franchise, which was first filmed in 1985. There have since been 6 "Police Story" films, including "Police Story 2013" which will come out at the end of the year, just in time for Christmas!

Jackie Chan in "Police Story 2013"
"Police Story 2013" is directed and written by director Ding Sheng, who previously worked with Jackie Chan in the film "Little Big Soldier". Jackie Chan's character, Zhong-Wen, is a solemn police investigator who lost his wife due to his work, leaving behind his daughter played by Jing Tian.

Back in 1985, Jackie invested 16 million Hong Kong dollars (about RM6 million) himself to film the first "Police Story". It was considered a huge production back then and people were hospitalized almost on a daily, including Jackie himself.

Though Jackie acknowledges his aging and has been told to 'not perform risky stunts' he still gives his all, whether it's an action scene or simply just a conversation scene.

"Police Story 2013" will hit Malaysia cinemas on 24 December 2013.
