15 Nov – It looks like J. M. Barrie's boy who would never grow up, Peter Pan, is set to have not one, not two, but three upcoming films. Director Joe Wright ("Atonement", "Anna Karenina") is in discussions with Warner Bros. to direct an origin film about Peter Pan. The script will be written by Jason Fuchs ("Ice Age: Continental Drift"), while Greg Berlanti will produce. The story so far seems to be a fairly straightforward re-telling of Pan, which is when an orphan is taken to the magical world of Neverland, where he becomes the saviour of the mermaids, Native Americans, fairies and leads a rebellion against the evil pirates. It is not specified if Pan's archenemy Captain Hook will make an appearance. The other two Pan projects are producer Joe Roth's "Peter Pan Begins" with Channing Tatum and screenwriter Billy Ray ("The Hunger Games") and Disney's film adaptation of "Peter And The Starcatchers" with director Gary Ross.
