21 Apr – Disney and Pixar had recently announced the full voice cast for "Monsters University", which includes newcomers Nathan Fillion ("Castle"), Bonnie Hunt ("Cheaper By The Dozen") and John Krasinski ("The Office"). Fillion, best known as Richard Castle from the TV series "Castle" as well as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in "Firefly", will play Johnny Worthington, the arrogant president of the university fraternity, Roar Omega Roar. Hunt plays Karen Graves, Mike's (Billy Crystal) high school teacher while Krasinski takes on the more senior role of "Frightening" Frank McCay, one of the star scaring teams in Monsters, Inc. and an inspiration to Mike and Sully (John Goodman).
The stars are joining the original cast of Goodman, Crystal and Steve Buscemi in the upcoming animation that serves as a prequel to 2001's "Monsters, Inc.". The story, no surprises here, focuses on Sully and Mike's university days when the two has yet to form a tightknit friendship. The animation will be released 20 June nationwide and in Singapore.
