25 Apr – Robert De Niro will be playing a dad in upcoming flick "Spy's Kid", which is based on a true story; while the 'kid' in question, will be "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf. There is no writer attached to the project yet but director D.J. Caruso will be helming the film. The story revolves around 20-year CIA veteran, Jim Nicholson, who was jailed in 1996 for espionage. His 'legacy' does not stop there, however, as he trains his 24-year-old son, Nathan, to pick up spying from behind bars. Before long, Nathan is seen jetting around the world and selling US secrets to the Russians. LaBeouf will next be seen in Robert Redford's "The Company You Keep" while De Niro will be seen in "The Big Wedding". Both films will be released in Singapore on 9 May.
