29 Aug – TGV Cinemas introduces their latest campaign for the month of September, TGV LOL, which fuses in-cinema entertainment; a live stand-up comedy act followed by a movie exclusively at TGV 1 Utama. On 6 and 7 September, moviegoers can look forward to the TGV LOL promo where for RM35 per ticket, they can catch a live comedy act as well as the upcoming Adam Sandler flick, "Grown Ups 2", both in the cinema hall itself. Additionally, they will also receive a complimentary RM10 Chill*X voucher with two added movie passes. There will also be an exclusive movie marathon on 2 September featuring "Grown Ups" and "Grown Ups 2" and the upcoming Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn film, "The Internship" on 12 September. Red FM radio announcers for the "Really Really Late Breakfast Show", Papi Zak and Kavin Jay a.k.a Grumpy, who are no strangers to stand-up comedy, will be the comedians entertaining the TGV crowd with their routines for the very first time in a cinema setting.
"Performing our stand-up comedy routines in a cinema is a new and exciting experience for us. We are looking forward to entertaining the TGV crowd." said Papi and Kavin. TGV Cinemas CEO, Gerald V. Dibbayawan said, "Cinema is all about entertainment and engaging the cinema-goer, be it via drama, action-packed, horror or even a comedy movie, which is similar to how stand-up comedians entertain and engage their audience with their repertoire of jokes." Moviegoers can start booking their TGV LOL tickets today onwards from TGV Cinemas' website.
