Carmen Soo's bout of mistaken identity has got Sharifah Amani 'sent early to her grave'.

7 Jul – Malaysian model and actress, Carmen Soo last night mistakenly tweeted a tribute message to Malaysian actress, Sharifah Amani when she meant it to be for veteran artiste, Dato' Sharifah Aini who died of lung infection on 5 July 2014.

The unfortunate Tweet became the laughing stock for Malaysian Netizens due to the fact that Carmen was said to be unable to differentiate between the two actresses.

Carmen Soo dedicates her condolences to the wrong actress.

The Tweet read; "RIP to the legend Sharifah Amani" for which Sharifah Amani in turn replied, "Weih! I'm still alive and tweeting lah."

Soo awkwardly apologized to the "Sepet" actress saying that it was due to the spell check function of her phone, "Good thing I got on Twitter tonight and not leave till tomorrow. A thousand apologies to @sharifahamani didn't mean it."

The recently departed veteran singer and actress, Dato' Sharifah Aini Syed Jaafar.

Sharifah Amani, however, apparently did not take it to heart. Responding on Twitter, she told Soo that she and her family had a good laugh over it, "No worries lah Sayang, Family and I had a giggle tadi. Thank you."

Veteran actress and singer, Dato Sharifah Aini passed away on 5 July 2014 at 1.26am due to lung fibrosis. She was then buried at the Muslim burial ground at Bukit Kiara in the afternoon.
