22 Nov – "Pirates of the Caribbean" actress Penelope Cruz has signed on to star opposite Ben Stiller in the latter's upcoming sequel of his 2001 hit comedy movie, "Zoolander", Deadline reports. The comedy about a model named Derek Zoolander, who is not exactly the brightest bulb in the box, is finally getting a sequel after more than a decade. Stiller will be back as the titular Zoolander but this time around, Justin Theroux will be the one sitting in the director's chair. The script will also be penned by Theroux, aided by Stiller, who directed and scripted the first movie. It is rumoured that Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson will return as fashion mogul Mugatu and Zoolander's supermodel rival Hansel, respectively.
No details have been revealed as to the role Cruz will be playing, but with her stunning looks, odds are she would be a supermodel who sashays down the catwalk like she owns it. Cruz has been quiet for the past year, having just wrapped up filming for Julio Medem's "Ma Ma" in Spain. However, she will be seen on the big screen again next year in a Sacha Baron Cohen comedy, and she might possibly be reprising her role as Angelica in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5". Cruz can be seen next in Sacha Baron Cohen's "Grimsby", coming to the cinemas on 27 Aug 2015. (Main photo source: alfajr-news.net)
