23 Feb - Stepping into this role might be a little tricky because of the big shoes to fill, but with Jai Courtney's extensive action film resume, this role will just be like his second skin. The Sydney born actor who has starred in films like "A Good Day to Die Hard", "Jack Reacher", "I, Frankenstein" and "Divergent", will be practicing how to travel through time as he has scored the coveted role of Kyle Reese for the "Terminator" reboot, "Terminator: Genesis". Courtney joins Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" as Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke of "Zero Dark Thirty" as John Connor in the James Cameron classic, and it will be directed by Alan Taylor of "Thor: The Dark World".
The plot of this reboot is still being kept quiet, though given the presence of the Connors and Reese, we can expect Patrick Lussier and Laeta Kalogridis' script to draw heavily on the original. The original sees a killer cyborg sent back in time to kill Sarah, who will go on to give birth to John, the leader of the human resistance in a future where the machines have risen up and begun the extermination of the human race. Kyle Reese is sent back to protect her and ends up fathering John himself. The "Terminator" series seems set to return to our screens, with Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly on board, possibly for more of a cameo than a key role.
