11 Feb – Local Malaysian actor Faizal Hussein confessed that he wants to direct films, but never had a chance to do so thus far due to his busy schedule. At the premiere of his new movie "Gudang Kubur", Faizal claimed that the wants very much to be a director, but due to the many offers for him to appear more on screen, he never got the chance. "I want to direct, but I think there are still many who need me to be on screen, so I spent a lot of my time doing so," said the 47-year-old actor who is best known for his role in "Gila-Gila Remaja". Faizal also mentioned that his children has shown interest in acting after seeing many of his films, but the actor said that he does not want to encourage his kids to act because he feels that they have many things to accomplish, especially with their studies. "Their schedule is even more packed than mine. They have to go to school, tuition, extra classes, curriculum activities and more. So, I don't think they even have the time to act," he added.
However, the "Gudang Kubur" actor said that if his kids do receive small offers such as commercials during school holidays, he would allow them to do it. "If it is during school holidays and the project is just one or two, I would let them do it. Previously, my eldest daughter did a commercial when she was 8," said the actor. Directed by Eyra Rahman, "Gudang Kubur" is a film about a married couple who buys a warehouse to start their tile business. However, the couple is soon haunted by a mysterious being who resides in the warehouse. The film also stars Nora Danish, Atikah Suhaimie, Nizam Zaidi, Epy Kodiang, Along Eyzendy and Pablo Amirul and will be released in Malaysia on 12 February 2015.
