Federal Cinema in KL reopens

The Federal Cinema in KL has been reopened by Suara Screens.

6 Feb – On 5 February 2015 the iconic Federal Cinema at Jalan Raja Laut, Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur has been reopened and is now known as Suara Screens Federal Cinema.

The cinema encompasses 2 halls with a total seating capacity of 900. It utilises the Dolby Digital 7.1 sound system.

A go to cinema over the years for screening all the latest Hindi and Tamil films, the cinema was operating under Iswaria Federal Cinema before it ceased all showtimes back in February 2013.

It is believed that the cinema was investigated by the Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) for illegally securing their water supply by tapping into the local water main.

The other two Suara Screens cinemas in Malaysia are Suara Screens Cinema Pasir Gudang in Johor and Suara Screens at Soon Seng Plaza in Malacca.
