27 Jan – Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will be opening its new GSC Ipoh Parade cinema this coming 5 February 2015 while closing the older cinema located in the same building. Located on the fifth floor of the newly renovated Ipoh Parade mall, the new 11-screen cinema is now the largest multiplex in Perak. The new cinema has halls that include the GSC Maxx; which is a hall with a bigger and wider screen; a THX certified hall and a Dolby Atmos hall. Following the cinema's opening, GSC will be offering free screenings of movies from 31 January to 4 February 2015. The titles of the free movies are "The Maze Runner", "The Book of Life", "Maleficent", "Guardians of the Galaxy", "Big Hero 6", "Left Behind", "Interstellar", "Mana Mau Lari", "Don't Go Breaking My Heart 2" and "Kaththi".
