19 Jan – After months of planning and speculations, Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan have successfully walked down the aisle in a lavish reception held on 17 January. As reported on On CC News, though the couple previously announced their wedding date to be 18 January to coincide with Jay's birthday, the Taiwanese multi-hyphenate was able to fulfil his wish of marrying before turning 36 by tying the knot a day earlier. Estimated at nearly a million dollars, the musician rented an old church, Selby Abbey in North Yorkshire, England for the ceremony, attended by 50 guests including family members and close friends. Jay's divorced parents were also in attendance. Meanwhile, his young bride also took to the Instagram and wrote, "Thank you for everyone's blessings. The ceremony was a day before and it's finally completed!" She also uploaded a photo of their wedding, wearing a white Tudor-inspired dress designed by Taiwanese boutique Sophia Weddings.
As expected, Jay also composed a song for his bride, played by a string orchestra at the ceremony. Another party was later held at the 300-year-old Castle Howard. A follow-up banquet will be held in Taiwan between February and March, though no detailed information has been released. (Photo Source: Jay Chou official Facebook page)
