"Kingsman 2" in the making

The breakout star of "Kingsman: The Secret Service", Taron Egerton.

2 May – Colin Firth and Taron Egerton-led "Kingsman: The Secret Service", the surprise blockbuster released earlier this year, is reportedly getting a sequel.

The second movie is currently in the works at Fox, according to The Wrap, though there has been no announcement or schedule for the movie yet.

There are also no details out on the cast, so it is unknown whether stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson will all return for the second instalment. Director Matthew Vaughn's return to the project is uncertain as well since Vaughn will be busy with helming "Flash Gordon" for Fox.

Fans do not despair yet, Vaughn did previously tell Moviefone "We've got a really fun idea for the sequel." So keep your fingers crossed for that Vaughn-directed sequel.

"Kingsman", released 19 February, made USD401 million globally. Based on Box Office Mojo stats, in Malaysia it collected USD5.1 million.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" is based on a comic book by Mark Millar, it follows a veteran agent Harry Hart working for a spy organization, who recruits an unrefined but promising street kid called Eggsy into the agency's ultra-competitive training program.
