2 Mar – Liew Seng Tat's "Lelaki Harapan Dunia" has been selected to be shown at the upcoming 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

A post on the movie's official Facebook page announces that the Malay movie will be one of the movies screened at this year's HKIFF, which takes place from 23 March to 6 April.

The movie, also known as "Men Who Save the World", tells the story of a group of superstitious villagers who encounter an African immigrant and mistaken him as an Orang Minyak, a ghost from Malay folklore.

The movie had its world premiere at Locarno International Film Festival last year, and was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, Nara International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival ahead of its Malaysian release.

It has also previously been selected for 2014's Cambodia International Film Festival, Kolkata International Film Festival as well as the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival.

"Lelaki Harapan Dunia" will be screened at the 39th HKIFF on 24 and 30 March 2015.
