27 Jan – Paramount has made a decision to move forward Tom Cruise's " Mission Impossible 5" five months ahead from the previous release date set initially. The action blockbuster franchise will return to the big screen on 31 July 2015, which was originally scheduled to be release on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2015 in the U.S. The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Paramount had decided to distance the film's release date from some of the other hot movies also releasing in December, such as J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", which will be rolling out in cinemas on 18 December 2015. It is expected that the seventh "Star Wars" film will probably dominate box office sales for the whole December this year and January next year. The move of "Mission Impossible 5" is actually placed in a good position where it will be released two weeks after Marvel Studio's "Ant-Man". Since the U.S. has confirmed the release date for "Mission Impossible 5", it is expected that Malaysia and Singapore will also see a change in its release date.
