Ramli Hassan laid to rest in Sydney


Veteran actor Ramli Hassan passed away in Sydney, Australia.

8 May – Following the news of veteran actor Ramli Hassan's passing, celebrities in the local film industry have taken to their social media accounts to mourn the loss of the late actor.

The "Anna and the King" actor was reported to have passed away in Sydney, Australia, yesterday due to complications arising from cancer, according to The Star.

 

 



The late actor was well known for his work in movies like "The Red Kebaya", for which he was nominated for Best Actor at the 20th Malaysia Film Festival; "Dukun"; and "Histeria". He also had a role in Nextflix TV Series "Marco Polo".

His final performance will be in the Yasu Tanaka-directed "Nota", which was filmed in Bako, Sarawak, the actor's own hometown. The movie will be screened at the Marché du Film in Cannes this 13 May and released in local cinemas later this year.

Hans Isaac's latest Instagram post reveals that the late actor has been laid to rest in Sydney, Australia. A wake will be held at Masjid Bangsar on Sunday.

He was 58.
