15 Jan – "Suamiku Encik Perfect 10!" was originally meant to be a two-part telemovie, director Feroz Kader recently revealed, which explains why most of its scenes had to be cut out in order to shorten and combine the two parts into one feature-length film. "I was initially tasked to come up with a super-telemovie, divided into two parts," said the director, as reported by Sinar Harian. "But after viewing it, Astro and the producer decided to bring it to the silver screen instead." Many of the movie's scenes had had to be left on the editing floor, mostly the ones shot in London, which took ten days to shoot. The director admitted that it was hard to shorten the movie, fearing that the cuts will cause the storyline to not flow smoothly. "Some of the scenes even have to be reshot," he added.
The movie tells the story of Zariel Daniel (Aaron Aziz) and Aleeya Azmeen (Lisa Surihani) pretending to be husband and wife for a week. They unexpectedly start developing real feelings for each other as spouses. Though Aaron and Lisa have previously worked together, this movie marks the first time for both to be starring opposite each other as the lead actors.
