2 Feb – The people of China will soon get a taste of an exciting robotic adventure as Optimus Prime and his band of Autobots will be coming to life at the upcoming "Transformers Live", the world's first large-scale live entertainment attraction in China. China-U.S.-based movie studio, DMG Entertainment has signed a deal with Hasbro to open the live-action attraction in China next year. "'Transformers Live" will be a cross between an action-adventure spectacle, a theme park attraction and a theatrical show," said S2BN's Michael Cohl as quoted by Variety. "Fans will experience intense action, beautiful visual moments, an emotionally engaging story, lots of humour and rousing music." "The show will offer a fusion of proprietary technologies including robotics and advanced projection capabilities along with amazing aerial and acrobatic sequences," he added. Produced by S2BN Entertainment - the live entertainment company behind the Broadway show "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark"- the theme park is expected to be located somewhere in Beijing. "Transformers" is without a doubt very popular in China, Michael Bay's 2014 film "Transformers: Age of Extinction" became China's top-grossing film ever, earning USD318 million at the domestic box office.
