Auli'i Cravalho wants to try acting after "Moana"

Auli'i Cravalho is the voice of Disney's latest princess.

12 Nov – Newcomer Auli'i Cravalho will soon be known throughout the world for her title role in the upcoming Disney film "Moana", as the latest Disney princess and also the first Polynesian princess in the line-up.

As this is her debut into the entertainment industry, the talented 15-year-old who we met recently at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore told Cinema Online that she would love to do on-screen acting if she was given the chance to do so.

"I'm not sure just yet, but I hope so," said the native Hawaiian descent singer and actress.

"I really love this industry, and I understand how hard it is to get into it, but now that I'm in I don't want to get out," she continued.

"So, whatever comes my way, whether voice acting, which I've done now and I can honestly said that I loved, or on screen acting, I'm not sure, but yes I'd love to do it."

Even before joining "Moana", Auli'i admitted that she had always wanted to go into the entertainment industry, but didn't think that she was good enough for it.

"I'm incredibly blessed to be in this film, but I did not think that I was good enough to get this role, and I'm humble enough to say that I have been changed for the better through this film, because I have learned to believe in myself and I have learned to take risks."

"I wouldn't have thought that I could make it this far," the actress added.

"Moana" will be released in Singapore on 24 November and on 1 December 2016 in Malaysia.
