The event marks the first time for a movie premiere to be held at Universal Studios Singapore. It is also the first time for the façade of the theme park's Pantages Hollywood Theater to be transformed – into a castle, to be exact.

Based on the Ice Castle in the movie, the fabrication of the 20 meters tall castle took a month to complete and it took 10 nights to be installed. All the motifs from snow fractals are from the movie and the designs were hand carved and hand painted. The height of the arch along Hollywood Boulevard stands at 9 meters tall. The castle will remain at Universal Studios Singapore until 2 May 2016.

"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is a directorial debut by Nicolas-Troyan, who is an Oscar nominee for Best Visual Effects for the first movie, 2012's "Snow White and the Huntsman". The upcoming movie tells the story of evil Queen Ravenna (Theron), whose unforgivable act causes her sister, Freya (Emily Blunt), to unleash an icy power she never knew she harbours. Freya's most elite Huntsman, Eric (Hemsworth), and warrior, Sara (Chastain), are the only heroes standing between the two queens. "The Huntsman: Winter's War" unleashes in cinemas this 14 April.
