Jackie Chan to receive an honorary Oscar


Jackie Chan will be the proud owner of an Oscar real soon!

2 Sep - Action superstar Jackie Chan will be awarded an honorary Oscar for his achievements in film.

As reported on ECNS News, Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs recently announced the news saying that Jackie will be one of the recipients of the Academy's 2016 Governors Award, which recognises pioneers in their craft.

Aside from the "Skiptrace" star, film editor Anne V. Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster, and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman will also be receiving similar accolades.

A master of his arts, Jackie has starred in hundreds of action and martial arts films and produced dozens of his projects himself.

The actor is currently busy filming his new movie, "Bleeding Steel" in Australia.
