22 Oct - We have already seen a brief look of Jason Momoa's Aquaman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", and we will see more of him in next year's "Justice League". But best of all, he already has his own movie, the long-gestating "Aquaman" solo feature which will finally make a big splash in cinemas next year. So, what can you expect from the forthcoming "Aquaman" movie? According to Entertainment Tonight, during an interview with James Wan at the Australians in Film Awards Gala at NeueHouse in Hollywood, the "Conjuring 2" director talked about the tone he wants to bring into the movie. "I kind of don't want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I'm going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story. It's ultimately a quest story in the spirit of "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" meets "Romancing The Stone". Wan also spoke about Jason Momoa's upcoming appearance alongside Amber Heard as Mera in "Justice League Part One". "I think Amber and Jason Momoa, in their moments in "Justice League", [are] going to give the rest of the world a flavour of what their own standalone movie could be. And that is just scratching the surface of what I plan to do." "Aquaman" also stars Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, who is a chief scientific adviser of Atlantis in the comic book series. Catch "Aquaman" in cinemas in July 2018.
