Arnold Schwarzenegger's role in "Terminator 6" revealed

Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the human basis for the T-800.

11 Aug – In "Terminator 6", fans will finally learn the reason as to why all the killer robots throughout the "Terminator" franchise share the same appearance (which is Arnold Schwarzenegger's face and body).

Producer James Cameron revealed in an interview to The Arnold Fans that in the sixth instalment Schwarzenegger will be taking on the role of the human basis for the T-800.

"Yeah, you got to ask yourself, 'Why did they make these characters look and sound like Arnold? There has to be a reason," said Cameron.

"So yeah, it has flashed through my mind that there has to have been a prototype. There has to have been a guy who's DNA was harvested from - that they grew the organic outter layer that they grew the Terminator from...and that presumably was a real person at some point. Now, the question is, did that person have some sort of meaning to Skynet on WHY they chose that one (Arnold)?"

The 70-year-old Austrian actor previously announced back in May that he will be back for "Terminator 6" with the original "Terminator" filmmaker overseeing its production.

Cameron also disclosed in another interview with News.com.au that he is in discussion with David Ellison, who is the current rights holder globally for the "Terminator" franchise, and that they are "leaning toward doing a three-film arc and reinventing it".

It seems that fans will just have to wait to find out if the new movie will kick off with a new timeline or continue on from any of the previous "Terminator" movies.

The sixth film, which will be directed by "Deadpool's" Tim Miller, is set to begin production next March.
