9 Mar – Divorce may have been on the table since estranged couple Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac separated back in summer last year. Johansson has recently filed for divorce from her husband, The Associated Press reported. The "Avengers" star stated that her marriage with the renowned French journalist was "irretrievably broken." Her filing the divorce has prompted a custody battle between the husband and wife, with the actress asking for primary custody of their two-year-old daughter, Rose. Dauriac is reportedly taken aback by the request, stating that he had been the "primary parent" while Johansson has been busy with her career. He plans to petition the court and take their daughter to live with him in his native France. In a statement, Dauriac said that it was unfortunate that the actress had made their "personal differences so public." Johansson later released a reply statement, saying, "I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage. Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same." This is the second divorce for the actress, who was previously married to "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011. She later married Dauriac on 1 October 2014, not long after the birth of their daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac.
