14 Nov – "Bond 25", the rumoured final James Bond stint for Daniel Craig, may see the English actor reuniting with his "Spectre" director again. Sam Mendes, who previously directed Craig in the 2015 Bond film and 2012's "Skyfall", has recently exited the live-action "Pinocchio" he has been in talks to helm, according to The Tracking Board. The director's departure from the Disney project might signal his return to the Bond franchise, fans and media alike are now speculating. Back in May, the Academy Award-wining English director was reported to be in early talks to helm the live-action adaptation written by Chris Weitz ("Cinderella", "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"), who was set to produce under his Depth of Field banner. Prior to "Pinocchio", it was announced last year that Mendes was attached to direct Disney's live-action "James and the Giant Peach". Currently "Bond 25" is still without a helmer, and Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros, Sony and Universal are still battling for the rights for overseas distribution. With the Bond titles' box office revenues generated over 70% in the international market, studios will not be backing down easily from the battle. "Bond 25" is slated for release in North America on 8 November 2019.
