Cineplex in Genting adds new IMAX, Gold Class with D-Box halls

24 Dec – Having first launched in the early half of this year, Bona Cinemas at SkyAvenue Mall, Resorts World Genting is already paving the way with new cinematic additions.

Now moviegoers who want to watch the latest films 6,000 feet above sea level at Genting Highlands will be spoilt for choice, as a huge 250-seat IMAX hall is now introduced in the cineplex.

That's not all, those seeking for a premium or more exclusive movie-watching experience, can do so with the newly launched Gold Class hall that's equipped with 48 D-Box seats.

The D-Box seats will allow audiences to experience the exciting motions seen on screen with swivels and tilts on a two-axis configuration.

Bona Cinemas Sky Avenue has a total of six halls, covering 38,848 square feet and all halls are equipped with the latest Dolby Atmos sound system.

First opened in February 2018, Bona Cinemas SkyAvenue is China's first overseas cinema owned by the Bona Film Group.

The company owns and directly operates 61 theatres in China under the Bona brand and is also a film and television production and distribution company with titles like "Operation Red Sea", "Project Gutenberg" and "The Grandmaster", under its belt.
