19 May – Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg are teaming up once again to work on a biopic about an American president. The actor-director duo is reportedly in early negotiations to develop a biopic about America's 18th president, Ulysses Grant, according to Deadline. The biopic is said to be a top priority, with David Kelly already on board to write the script based on the bestselling Ron Chernow biography, "Grant". If everything goes according to plan, this would be the second time the two Oscar winners work together since 2002's critically-acclaimed "Catch Me If You Can".
Since winning his first Academy award for Best Actor in "The Revenant", DiCaprio has been taking time off from acting but will be back on the big screen next year in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" alongside Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Spielberg, meanwhile, has been busy making and producing movies, with "Ready Player One" and "The Post" being his recent projects. No release date details have been confirmed for the Ulysses Grant biopic but judging by both of the actor's and director's upcoming projects, it seems like fans will have to wait longer for the movie to finally come out.
