17 Aug – Hong Kong actor Simon Yam revealed that he has received a lot of well wishes from friends around the world - following the injuries that he sustained from a knife assault that occurred last month - including Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie. As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who recently made his appearance at the premiere of his new movie "Little Q" in Hong Kong with an arm sling, shared that the actress, whom he worked with in "Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" back in 2003, sent him a text after hearing about the incident. "She said that she was very concerned about my condition after reading the news. I replied my thanks to her afterwards. A lot of French and European fans also sent their well wishes through my manager," he said.
Simon also revealed that he has already begun his physiotherapy last week, and that it would take him between six to nine months to complete his physical therapy. "I would have to wear this sling for another eight to ten weeks before I can take it off," he added. When asked if he would return to work anytime soon, the actor stated that the studios understand his current situation well. "I hope to focus on my physiotherapy first and return to work only when I am back to my best state," he said. (Photo source: Mingpao | Oriental Daily)
