2 Oct – If there is one film genre Taiwanese filmmaker Ang Lee would like to try in the future, it would be comedy.

As reported on Epoch Times, the director, who spoke to the media recently to promote his new Hollywood film "Gemini Man", shared that there are film genres that he would rather not try, and one that he is interested to helm in the future.

"I wouldn't dare shoot horror movies. I'm worried that I would get too invested and scare myself. That would be terrible," he said.

However, Lee stated that he would love to shoot a pure comedy, adding that it would be his biggest goal in filmmaking.

Ang Lee picks Huang Bo, seen here with "Lost in Thailand" co-stars Wang Baoqiang and Xu Zheng,
as an actor he'd like to work with in his comedy movie.

Asked if there is any mainland actor he would like to work with for his future comedy, the director named "Lost in Thailand" star Huang Bo with no hesitation.

"The funniest people are those who seemed very serious but in fact very funny. Someone like Huang Bo," he said.

Meanwhile, Huang Bo, who had since heard of Lee's interest in working with him, forwarded the said interview on Weibo, saying that he would love to work with the filmmaker in the future.
