26 Sep – We've seen Jeff Goldblum reprise his Dr. Ian Malcom role in 2018's "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom", now it looks like he'll have two more stars from the original "Jurassic Park" trilogy joining him in the final movie of the "Jurassic World" trilogy.
Laura Dern and Sam Neill will also be returning in "Jurassic World 3"as Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, respectively, according to Deadline.
The good news was revealed by Dern at the fan screening of the Collin Trevorrow-helmed short film, "Battle at Big Rock", which tells of dinosaurs escaping to the real world and running amuck. She announced her return as well as Goldblum's and Neill's during the event.
All three starred in the first "Jurassic Park" movie that started it all. The success of the 1993 movie, which was largely due to the intriguing novel by Michael Crichton that it was based on and to Steven Spielberg's brilliant adaptation, spawned the original 1993-2001 trilogy and the current 2015-2021 trilogy.
Goldblum later retuned for 1997's "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" sans Dern and Neill, while the latter two were in 2001's "Jurassic Park III" minus Goldblum.
Most recently, Goldblum reunited with Neill in a non-"Jurassic" movie, 2017's "Thor: Ragnarok".
Trevorrow will be back to direct "Jurassic World 3", which will begin production next year for release in cinemas in 2021.
There's no plot revealed or official title for the third movie yet (or sixth, if counting the whole franchise) but it might take off where J.A. Bayona 2018 movie ended, with the dinosaurs finding their way into civilisation.
