23 Apr - Jennifer Lopez is set to say "I do" in real life to fiancé Alex Rodriguez but on the big screen, she'll be saying it to Owen Wilson! The actress has landed another rom-com lead, this time starring as a pop superstar in STXfilms' "Marry Me", according to Variety. The movie revolves around her character, who, as she is about to get hitched to her rockstar fiance at Madison Square Garden, discovers that he cheated on her with her assistant. After a meltdown on stage, she randomly picks a man (Wilson) from the audience to marry instead. Wilson is in finals talks to star opposite J-Lo and once the deal is sealed, it will mark the second team up between the two after last starring together in 1997's "Anaconda".
Meanwhile, it marks the third collaboration between the singer-actress, STX Films and producers Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina. She starred in their 2018 rom-com "Second Act" and will lead their 2019 crime-drama "Hustlers" alongside Constance Wu ("Crazy Rich Asians"). "Marry Me", which is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby, is slated for production this fall under Kat Coiro's direction.
