8 Oct – "It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game," singer-actor Mugen Rao recently posted on social media in celebration of his big win, which includes a Rs 50 lakh (approx. MYR295 thousand) prize, in the third season of India's reality TV show "Bigg Boss". The Malaysian artist sets record with his participation in "Bigg Boss 3" as not only is he the first non-Indian resident to join the Tamil Nadu-set show but his win, of course, also means that he is the first non-Indian resident to achieve this. "The love Tamil Nadu people have given is bigger than anything I can get. I thank all those who supported me and stood by me throughout the show," said Mugen in his winning speech, as quoted by Firstpost. "They helped me to stay focused and get back when I got off the track. Tamil Nadu has become my home now," he added. Mugen and his fellow finalists, Sandy Master, Losliya and Sherin, spent 105 days living in the same house with 12 other contestants or housemates. The aforementioned four made it to the finals, with Sandy named the first runner-up and Losliya the second runner-up, while the rest were evicted via the weekly voting. Just 12 days shy of turning 24 this year, Mugen has been active in the Malaysian entertainment industry since 2014, appearing in films, telemovies, ads and music videos, and lending his talents as a singer and lyricist to songs like "Neethan Neethan", "Maya" and "Kayalvizhi".
