20 Nov– Director Christopher McQuarrie just hours ago posted on social media a photo of the latest actress to join his upcoming "Mission: Impossible" movies. "How do you say femme fatale in French?" He asked, tagging the newcomer who is none other than French-Korean actress Pom Klementieff. The 33-year-old, best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the "Guardians of the Galaxy's" Mantis, also posted the same photo at the same time, but with the caption "Mischief: Accepted".
As details are scarce on "Mission: Impossible 7" and "Mission: Impossible 8", the next two installments of the franchise that are reportedly being filmed back-to-back, Klementieff's role is unknown at the moment. The actress joins fellow MCU star Hayley Atwell, who confirmed that she's joined the action franchise back in September, as part of the new cast. Meanwhile, cast members from previous movies that are expected to return include Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and – of course, there's no "Mission: Impossible" without the world's most popular stuntman – Tom Cruise, who will be back to star as Ethan Hunt. Their titles are not set yet but both movies have already secured release dates, with "Mission: Impossible 7" opening in North American cinemas on 23 July 2021 and "Mission: Impossible 8" releasing on 5 August 2022.
