25 Oct– After it was announced early last year that Pedro Pascal was joining "Wonder Woman 1984", no more details were released regarding his character. Director Patty Jenkins previously dropped a first look image of him but, again, shared no details. Though the actor's hair and costume brought to mind one particular character – a villainous one. It is only now that the director finally confirmed Pascal's role, by posting a comic book image of the villain he's playing.

That caption, "Well hello...Max #WW1984!", says it all. The name refers to none other than the supervillain Maxwell Lord, a shrewd businessman who becomes a metahuman after gaining superpowers and possesses the ability to influence other people's minds.
Prior to Jenkins' post, Pascal's role was first revealed recently when Warner Bros. Pictures announced that the new "Wonder Woman 1984" trailer will drop at Brazil's Comic Con Experience (CCXP), which Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are set to attend this 8 December. Plot details are still kept under wrap as "Wonder Woman 1984" will only open in cinemas in June 2020. Gal Gadot will be back as the eponymous superhero, with Chris Pine reprising his role as Steve Trevor. Also part of the cast are Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Robin Wright as Antiope and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
