Bruce Willis returns with new "Die Hard", but it's not a movie

Looks like it really is hard for McClane to die.
Looks like it really is hard for McClane to die.

19 Oct – When snippets of what seems to be a new "Die Hard" movie starring Bruce Willis started circulating online, fans immediately thought that it was the teaser to a new upcoming instalment of the popular action franchise.

Their guess turns out to be wrong, but nobody seems to mind it that much because the actual thing turns out to be something just as intense and action-packed. Plus, it still has Willis reprising his role as John McClane.

"A new chapter in the DieHard story begins. Watch as John McClane faces off against old foes and crosses paths with old friends. From fighting his way to Advance Auto Parts to racing against the clock to install his new DieHard Battery – McClane will stop at nothing, to start his car again," so the descriptions goes on the YouTube page of Advance Auto Parts.

It wasn't a new movie that Willis was working on, it was a commercial for a car battery.

Judging from fans' reactions on social media, most are excited to see Willis return as McClane even if just for a short ad, while some are understandably heartbroken that it wasn't an actual movie that they were getting.

Willis has starred in the "Die Hard" franchise since the eponymous first movie, released in 1988. He's reprised the starring role four more times after that in 1990's "Die Hard 2", 1995's "Die Hard with a Vengeance", 2007's "Live Free or Die Hard" and 2013's "A Good Day to Die Hard".
