5 Dec – When film exhibitors faced another round of cinema closure since early last month, several of them have turned to e-commerce platforms to keep their businesses afloat during these trying times.

The latest to do so is Lotus Five Stars (LFS) Cinemas, who just hours ago announced on its social media that LFS Cinemas is now on Shopee.

"Hurry, grab our special deals of vouchers today, starts from RM 0.60 ONLY! And you boleh Beli Now, Wayang Later!" its Facebook post stated, accompanied with the image below.

LFS Cinemas' Shopee currently has 10 'Beli Now, Wayang Later' vouchers available on its page, all of which will be valid until next year, 31 December 2021.

The pricing starts from as low as RM0.60. Among the deals included are popcorn and beverage combo packs, which can be bundled together with movie tickets.

Aside from LFS Cinemas, other local film exhibitors that are also extending their business to e-commerce platforms are MBO Cinemas, TGV Cinemas and GSC.

As was previously reported, MBO Cinemas has its own Shopee page (shopee.com.my/mbocinemas) as well, while TGV Cinemas and GSC are selling their products on tgv.com.my/eshop and shop.gsc.com.my, respectively.
