28 Oct – Bollywood-turned-Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has landed herself a starring role in yet another English-language movie. She will star as the female lead in the romantic drama, with Sam Heughan ("Outlander") playing the male lead, according to Deadline. Tentatively called "Text For You", it is an English remake of the 2016 German-language movie "SMS Fur Dich", which in turn was based on the popular novel by Sofie Cramer. Chopra Jonas will play a woman who tragically loses her fiancé and, hoping to ease her pain, begins sending romantic texts to his old cell phone. A man across town, who is similarly suffering, has been reassigned with her fiancé's old number and soon a connection forms between them.
Aside from the two leads, five-time Grammy Award winner Celine Dion is also part of the cast. Reportedly, her music will greatly influence the onscreen couple, giving them the courage to give love a chance again. Jim Strouse, who helmed the John Cusack-starring "Grace Is Gone", will direct the movie from a script that he wrote himself and recently rewritten by Lauryn Kahn. So far, no production and release dates have been announced. (Photo source: Priyanka Chopra Jonas' Instagram | Celine Dion's Instagram)
