9 Dec – Good news for fans of Hong Kong series, now you can watch more of TVB exclusive ones as TVBAnywhere+ has launched its Lite VOD plan, which includes a six-month free trial! "With the current pandemic forcing a slowdown on the economy, we would like to show our support by making our OTT-exclusive content easily accessible for our online audiences in Malaysia. Therefore, we are offering a six-month free trial for anyone who signs up for the Lite VOD plan by 31st December. "Our platform also features a variety of dramas that are exclusive to TVBAnywhere+, including TVB Anywhere Originals and exquisitely hand-picked acquired content from Hong Kong local productions as well as around the Greater China region," said Terence Yau, Assistant General Manager of TVB Anywhere, in a statement. Users who sign up before the end of this month will get to enjoy the free trial, and a flat rate of RM4.90/month thereafter. As it requires no contract, users can cancel their plan anytime.
Two highly-anticipated series, "Impossible 3" and "Beauty & The Boss", will also be released in conjunction with the new plan's launch. The six-episode "Impossible 3", which was filmed in Malaysia and features Malaysian actress Jovane Phang, stars Bosco Wong, Julian Cheung, Chrissie Chau, Moses Chan, Vincent Wong and Samantha Ko. It follows three strangers who find themselves in a manhunt involving both the cops and the triads after getting entangled in a series of mysterious cases. Meanwhile, the official synopsis for the Moses Chan and Ali Li-starring romcom drama "Beauty & The Boss", which is releasing this 14 December, reads: "Wong Lai-mei and her employer, Matt, in their quest to find love, while navigating through the twists and turns of failed marriages, new-found romance and career development."
Also available on TVBAnywhere+ Lite VOD plan are top-rated programmes such as Feng Shui practitioner Lee Shing Chak's "Master's Talk", actress Gigi Wong's cooking show "Gigi's Pot Of Love 2" and Steven Ma's talk show "Coffee, You and Me". Additionally, TVBAnywhere+ houses over 10,000 hours of content in its database for users in Malaysia, with a large library of TVB drama series and variety shows available for free in the free zone. New features will be available to users who sign up for the Lite VOD plan, which includes two concurrent views per account and a TV casting feature, so users can cast shows from their devices to the TV. The download or watch offline function will also be made available soon. TVBAnywhere+ is a video-streaming application under TVB Anywhere Limited, which is owned by Hong Kong's leading TV broadcaster, Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). The app, which was introduced to Malaysia with the launch of its free zone back in June this year, can be downloaded on Play Store and App Store.
