"Upin Ipin" musical to tour abroad next year

10 Jul – Following Les' Copaque's numerous success with "Upin & ipin", the Malaysian animation studio is all set to add another feather to its cap as it has recently been confirmed that "Upin & Ipin" the musical will embark on a tour abroad.

Tn Hj Burhanuddin Md Radzi himself, owner and Managing Director of Les' Copaque Production, announced the good news on his Facebook.

"This year, we (Les' Copaque) were supposed to be making an "Upin & Ipin" musical tour abroad after a promoter from Singapore agreed to stage the musical in Malaysia, Indonesia, Arab Saudi and London.


"The dates have been set, the script is done and the actors have also been cast. We have also done a press conference in Jakarta. Unfortunately, we are now facing the COVID-19 pandemic and our plans have to be postponed to next year.

"InsyaAllah, if everything goes well, we will be bringing the "Upin & Ipin" musical tour to other countries, the first to do so in Malaysia," he posted.

Previously, the animated "Upin & Ipin" has been selected as the strategic partner of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) to further promote the Buy Malaysian Products campaign.
