29 Sep – It's been more than half a decade since Vin Diesel confirmed that there would be a fourth "Riddick" movie, and now the actor is suggesting that the time will finally come soon. The news came earlier this week when the actor posted an image from the previous movie, and wrote, "Incredible meeting today, thanks team you know who you are... Let's just say Furia maybe closer than you think. #Riddick." It was back in 2014 that Diesel announced that Universal Studios was looking to produce the fourth instalment of the Riddick franchise, to be called "Furya".
He later reported in 2019 that director David Twohy, who helmed the first movie, "Pitch Black" was completing a script for the said movie and gave it to him. In an interview to promote, "F9" earlier this year, Diesel yet again assured that the movie is moving forward. The antihero character Riddick was first introduced in the 2000 movie, "Pitch Black", followed by "The Chronicles of Riddick" in 2004 and the 2013 movie, "Riddick".
