13 Oct - Disney is set to produce a new movie about the creation of "the happiest place on earth" - its very own Disneyland. According to Deadline, the task of helming the upcoming project has been given to director David Gordon Green of "Halloween" fame, with the script to be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, who previously wrote the 2017's live-action "Beauty and the Beast" remake.
The said movie will be streamed exclusively on Disney+ and will be focusing on how the theme park came to life in July 1955, becoming one of the most popular vacation destinations until today. It is noted that while no movie has been made about the creation of Disneyland, Disney has already had two documentaries, "The Imagineering Story" and "Behind the Attraction" currently streaming on Disney+. More details to be released in the future.
