17 Sep – "Game of Thrones" alumna Gwendoline Christie has snagged another Netflix show, after being cast in the upcoming Tim Burton's The Addams Family series, "Wednesday".
The leggy actress shared the good news on social media on 15 September, writing, "CLICK CLICK! Overjoyed to announce that I will be working with [Tim Burton] on 'WEDNESDAY', the new Addams Family series for [Netflix]‼"
"LARISSA WEEMS IS COMING..." she added, referring to the name of her character on the show.
According to EW, the character Larissa Weems is the principal of Wednesday Addams' (Jenna Ortega) school Nevermore Academy, who still has a grudge against her former classmate and Wednesday's mother, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones in a guest role).
Prior to "Wednesday", Christie was named one of the leads of the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's beloved comic, "The Sandman", playing the role of Lucifer.
