15 Sep – British-American actress Hayley Atwell, known for her role as Peggy Carter in Marvel's "Agent Carter" and "Captain America", has recently been cast to voice the famous video game character of Lara Croft. According to Collider, the actress will be playing the character in the upcoming Netflix "Tomb Raider" anime series, which is a collaboration between the streamer and Legendary Television.
It is noted that the anime series will pick up the events of the video game reboot, though not much has been revealed about the said project. On the other hand, the actress will also be seen soon in "Mission: Impossible 7" as well as the upcoming eighth instalment that will be released in 2023. Lara Croft has already been played by two actresses on the big screen with Angelina Jolie in "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life" (2003), followed by Alicia Vikander, who played the character in the 2018 movie, "Tomb Raider".
