Joaquin Phoenix signs on to work with "Hereditary" director Ari Aster

19 Feb – After the success of "Joker", it looks like Joaquin Phoenix is heading towards working with horror filmmaker Ari Aster in a new movie titled "Disappointment Blvd."

Sources recently revealed that Phoenix has recently finalised a deal to collaborate with Aster, known for hit movies "Hereditary" and "Midsommar", through the filmmaker's third project under A24.

However, no details have been released as to whether the latest Aster project will have the same atmosphere of his previous two films, though insiders said that the film will chronicle the life of "one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time".

Aster himself described his latest project as adults-only "nightmare comedy".

Aster's most recent hit was the cult thriller, 'Midsommar'

Prior to the new project, Phoenix had been working on the Mike Mills drama "C'mon C'mon". The film has yet to have a release date.

The actor has also signed on to work with filmmaker Ridley Scott on the new movie, "Kitbag", in which he will play the role of French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.

Phoenix's last released film was the 2019's "Joker"
