4 Aug – While there is already a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles project currently in the works by Seth Rogen, it was reported that another one is also on the way and to be written by brothers Colin and Casey Jost. The Saturday Night Live head writer, who is most known to international fans as 'the funny guy who won Scarlett Johansson's heart', is set to take the reign of the said franchise for Paramount - which will be produced by previous TMNT helmer, Michael Bay.
Not much has been revealed about the upcoming movie, except that it will be grittier than Rogen's light-hearted version that will closely follow its 1987 cartoon series. It means that the Jost brothers' version will be closely following Bay's previous two 2014 and 2016 movies. Rogen's version will be released in theatres on 11 August 2023, while the Jost brothers' project has yet to have an estimated release date. It's fine though, as long as we all get two versions of Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael!
