23 Sep – While we have lost the legendary Sonny Chiba to COVID-19, at least we still have his son Mackenyu, and Mackenyu is set to star in a new project soon. The American-Japanese actor was revealed to have been cast in the upcoming live-action adaptation of "Knights of the Zodiac", and will be playing the leading role of Seiya.
Mackenyu will be joined by actor Sean Bean, who will play Seiya's recruiter Alman Kiddo and Madison Iseman, who will play Sienna. Other cast members include Famke Janssen, Nick Stahl, Diego Tinoco, and Mark Dacascos. Created by Masami Kuramada, the Japanese manga series, known to fans by its title, "Saint Seiya", ran from 1986 to 1991 and had sold over 25 million copies. It was adapted by Toei Animation into an anime. It also received a 3D reboot back in 2019 by Netflix.
