4 May – Marvel Studios has recently released its sizzle reel and it is a lot to unpack from one trailer. The reel released on 3 May, which features many of Marvel's previous blockbusters as a way for the studio to express their thanks to the fans, revealed several titbits from their upcoming titles. Get ready for the updates:
"Black Widow", which sees the return of Scarlett Johansson as the titular character, to be released on 9 July. The movie had been in constant delay since it completed production two years ago. "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Leung, to be released on 3 September
"Eternals", directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao and starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden and Kumail Nanjiani, to be released on 5 November "Spider-Man: No Way Home" to be released on 17 December "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" to be released on 25 March 2022. The film will be directed by Sam Raimi and will have Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as the titular character. "Thor: Love and Thunder", helmed by "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi, to be released on 6 May 2022. Starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, the movie will also feature Russell Crowe as Zeus.
"Black Panther 2" to be retitled, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", will be released on 8 July 2022. No information has been released regarding the direction it is going after the death of lead actor Chadwick Boseman. "Captain Marvel 2", which has been retitled "The Marvels", will be released on 11 November 2022
"Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" to be released on 17 February 2023 "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3", to be helmed by James Gunn again, to be released on 5 May 2023. Watch the sizzle reel here:
