15 Apr – The Dwayne Johnson-starrer "Black Adam" recently announced another cast member in the likes of stand-up comedian, Mo Amer.

The comedian, known for his Netflix comedy, "Mo Amer: The Vagabond", will be joining the likes of other stars including Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.

However, no details have been released as to what character he will play in the movie.


Hollywood is taking diversity seriously with Mo Amer onboard "Black Adam".

Sharing the good news on Instagram, the comedian expressed, "Al-Hamdulilah... Blessed to join this great cast."

Aside from his stand-up special, Amer is also known for his role as Mo, the Muslim cousin of Ramy Youssef's character in the latter's sitcom, "Ramy". He is also set to appear in the upcoming comedy movie, "Americanish".

To be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, "Black Adam" will star Dwayne Johnson as the titular anti-hero. The movie is set to be released on 29 July 2022.

Johnson also recently announced that the movie has started filming, posting on Instagram, "History in the making, extremely excited and what a humbling moment to share with you. Officially kicking off DAY 1 of filming our BLACK ADAM."
